{"id":4484,"date":"2023-03-29T10:42:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-29T08:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acfcroatia.hr\/?p=4484"},"modified":"2025-02-28T10:48:08","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T09:48:08","slug":"strengthened-in-the-healthcare-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acfcroatia.hr\/en\/strengthened-in-the-healthcare-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Strengthened in the healthcare system"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As part of the large project \u201cRADAR \u2013 Strengthening the Advocacy Potential of Civil Society Organizations for the Protection of Women\u2019s Human Rights in Healthcare,\u201d the organization RODA \u2013 Parents in Action has created an e-course \u201cStrengthened in the Healthcare System\u201d intended for volunteers, employees in organizations, and activists. \u201c<em>Through this course, we aim to empower women to better understand domination and provide resistance to the domination they are often exposed to in the healthcare system.<\/em>\u201d says RODA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The e-course is available at the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/edukacija.roda.hr\/tecajevi\/osnazene-u-zdravstvenom-sustavu\/\">https:\/\/edukacija.roda.hr\/tecajevi\/osnazene-u-zdravstvenom-sustavu\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the excellent video material introduces viewers to the techniques of domination that women encounter during childbirth. The video was created in collaboration with the partner organization Open Media Group \u2013 O.M.G, and the Croatian Sign Language translation and subtitles were provided in collaboration with the Women\u2019s Forum HSGN, which we present below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"osna\u017dENE u zdravstvenom sustavu - uz prijevod na hrvatski znakovni jezik i titlove\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rqn-hIkpgo4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>RODA&#8217;s team spent four intensive working days in Iceland, from June 27 to June 30, 2022, during which their Icelandic partners in the project, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.government.is\/topics\/foreign-affairs\/iceland-in-europe\/eea-grants\/partnership-opportunities-in-iceland\/opportunity\/?itemid=c8a4da74-29ec-11eb-8129-005056bc8c60\">Women&#8217;s Counselling<\/a>, provided them with knowledge transfer and experience on techniques for countering domination, the Master Suppression Techniques (MST).
